Michael McDermott’s focus is on go-to-market and growth strategy, sales, marketing, and project management and oversight. His goal is to understand market conditions and trends and translate them into business solutions that help customers achieve results. He currently serves on the Quest International User Group’s Oil, Gas and Chemical Special Interest Group Board.
Michael brings more than 20 years of global enterprise business software product management, sales, marketing, and management experience. Prior to joining GuidewireSI, McDermott served as SVP of Sales & Marketing at FMNOW, Director of Sales at Active Network after completing the acquisition and transition of RTP, LLC. At RTP McDermott was Executive Vice President of International Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Professional Services with overall responsibility for RTP’s software group’s strategy and growth. He also was a sales and marketing executive at Oracle JD Edwards.
I am a Colorado native who enjoys cycling, skiing and running in the great outdoors of Colorado with my wife, daughter, and friends. Outside of the active Colorado lifestyle, you’ll find me spending quality time with family and friends enjoying great wine and food. Finally, I am active in my church and community and serve on the Board of Trustees for JK Mullen High School. It is important to give back to the community that offers so much to me and my family.
Michael has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Colorado State University.
